Lorraine has over 25 years experience working with leaders in Australia and the UK as a manager, internal and external consultant. She works with a range of organisations, small to large, private and public sector, not for profit and in different sectors some of which include health, education, mining, human services, engineering, policy, risk management and legal.

Background

I have successfully managed staff in public, private and not for profit organisations, in a variety of roles such as Accounting, HR Manager and Organisational Development Consultant. With a degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Graduate Dip in Counselling and a strong foundation in people management, systems and processes I have spent much of my career as an internal coach developing high performing cultures by building leadership capability.  In 2007, I joined Integral Development as a Coach and Facilitator and have had the privilege of working with hundreds of leaders,  across numerous industries on everything from becoming more strategic, difficult conversations, motivating underperformers, building self-confidence and resilience,  and modelling a healthy work/life balance.  I am an accredited coach and, licensed facilitator of the Manager as A Coach Program.  

My Why 

I was always destined to become a coach.  As a young girl, I would bribe the kids in the neighbourhood to play schools during the holidays. I got so much pleasure and joy from seeing others grow.  But as is often the case, as an adult my career went in a different direction and I entered the world of Accounting.  This provided invaluable firsthand Corporate experience and my first leadership role.  It was in this role that I got to experience the power of working with a coach and I wanted to create that experience for others.   

How I work 

When coaching I listen deeply. I listen for my client’s values, beliefs, assumptions and anything else that might be blocking them from knowing what to do.  I become their thinking partner.  When facilitating, my workshops are engaging, informative, practical and inspirational.

What I do

I specialise in coaching technical experts to Executives to take more of a coach approach to leadership.  When this happens, employees are more engaged, motivated, confident and job satisfied. 

I facilitate workshops in ‘leader as a coach’, building resilience, difficult conversations and emotional intelligence.  

What I love 

I love mountains which means I also love to travel wherever I can trek, snow ski and contemplate life.  Simple living, time on my farm reading, trail running with my Golden Retriever, Darcy.
