About Mindfulness & Flow
Mindfulness and meditation are increasingly practiced by people and teams globally. Increasingly companies incorporate mindfulness and meditation programs into their L&D and wellbeing programs including: Google, Apple, Accenture, SAP, Adobe, LinkedIn and GE.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the ability to focus on the present moment with curiosity and openness. It’s a foundational skill that underpins emotional intelligence, attention training and resilience. Mindfulness - being aware and open in the present, enables stability of mind and insight into how you are feeling, thinking and reacting.
Mindfulness leads to better judgment and emotional balance, especially in difficult situations. Our programs teach how to cultivate it as a foundational skill that enables emotional awareness, a calm and clear mind, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Flow
Flow is the state of pure focus and concentration where time melts away. In flow, we perform at our best and experience a high level of enjoyment. A substantial body of research has confirmed that mindfulness and flow lead to better health, improvements in brain functioning and improved performance.
The course makes flow understandable and accessible by combining flow research with practical strategies and skills to help individuals and teams achieve flow in their performance.
Meditation
Practiced across the globe for thousands of years in various ways, meditation is the formal practice of focussing ones attention on a specific mental or physical object. This could include the breathe, a physical sensation or activity like walking, body scan, internal sound e.g. a mantra or affirmation. To us it is like going to the gym, a formal practice to develop your mental and emotional muscles so that you can experience more mindful and flow states during the rest of the day.
